Presentation
The Agencia de Seguridad y Gestión Integral de Emergemcias de Andalucía (EMA), created in April 2024, brings together the region's emergency operations under a single command.
These include Civil Protection, 112, the Environmental Emergency Group, and the INFOCA Plan (Plan to Fight Forest Fires in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia) previously framed in the Environment and Water Agency.
The Agency's purpose is the coordination, management and technical and executive execution, under a single command, of the emergency operations that are the responsibility of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, as well as those produced in the natural environment that for any reason occur in the territory of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, and the training and qualification of professionals in the field of security and emergencies in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia.
Role in the project
Main role : Definition of stakeholders’ needs (WP2 leading, organization of a workshop which will ensure an effective end-user consultation, complementary to the other tools (surveys, interviews)), Pilot implementation (WP8, involving a pilot site, with relevant testing sites to perform demos.), Development of training materials (WP9, EMA-INFOCA will mobilize a simulation table to ease training immersion while recreating past or future wildfire events).
